- Current out-of-state licence, if you're new to Nevada

- Proof of insurance for that vehicle
- Your learner's permit / current licence
Two tricks that save a wasted trip
- Can't get a slot? Last-minute Reno appointments release around 8 p.m. on Wednesdays for the rest of the week — refresh Dash Pass then.
- Just bought a car? You have 30 days to register it, and Nevada plates stay with the seller — the car needs its own new plates.
Here about a car?
If your DMV trip is because you just bought or are selling a car, Nevada Auto Exchange is the free, local way to do the other side of it.
